Simply dip strip into the aquarium water and read the pH by comparing the colour on the strip with the Colour Chart.
Colour Change: pH 6.0 (Yellow) . . . . . pH 8.1 (Blue)
PH Control
There is an optimal pH of between 5.5 and 7.5 for freshwater fish due to the variance of fish species.
In order to maintain a healthy
· What is “Low” pH? – A low pH means that there is an increase of hydrogen ions, making the water more acidic(ie Water pH is below 5.5 pH units)
· What is “High” pH? – High pH is due to too many hydroxide ions in the water, making it more alkaline.(ie Water pH is above 7.5 pH units)
